January 18 – I have a Manuscript; Now What? by MaryAnn Easley, an award-winning author and educator;peer writing coach, and an independent publisher; and a consultant at Windflower Press, a Californian publishing company that covers the spectrum of publishing.
February 15 – We will discuss some of the rules relating to us as a club. Then we will continue our Publishing Paths series with just-published poet Don Coulson. Finally we will share updates and ideas on sales and marketing strategies.
March 15 – What Makes Us Successful? Guest speaker Bob Yehling is a multi-genre, multi-subject, hybrid author who publishes both traditionally and through publishing partnerships. He is the Independent Publishers Book Award-winning author of nine books and ghostwriter of six others. He is editor of “The Hummingbird Review,” an educator, and successful author consultant who has helped dozens of authors land publishing contracts.
April 19 – Marketing: Plot or Prod? Guest speaker PJ Colando is the author of three novels, with short stories, personal essays, and articles published in journals, magazines, and anthologies. She has earned an Erma Bombeck humor award, Reader’s Favorite silver award, and Southern California Writers Conference fiction award.
May 17 – Club networking
June 21 – Is Your Manuscript Good Enough Yet? – Guest speaker Maralys Wills us a speaker, author of thirteen books, and a writing instructor. She especially loves the process of helping other writers.
July 19 – Steps to Publishing workshop led by Elaine Lombardi

September 19 – TUESDAY, 4-7pm – Storytelling in September. Please note this is a Tuesday.
October 18 – Publishing Paths: Resident poet Charlie Redner will discuss his publishing and marketing strategy.
November 11 – SATURDAY, 2-4pm “Give the Gift of Reading“event in Laguna Woods library.
